I'll confirm that driving behind Michaels car causes cancer

I was wondering if I should even bother BARing my car if I'm going to be boosting it. What do you guys think? It's a M50 w/ .12 MLS Headgasket right now. (not sure if the HG would make it harder or easier to pass)

Why Bar the car if your gonna boost it? That snail will make smog guys check the BAR stuff on your car IMHO.

I'm gonna be running na until I pick up all the stuff for boost but I plan on having "special" smog test done anyways. Just wondering if there's any benefits to having it BARed

Does anyone have a stock s50 DME that aren't currently using? I'm going to use it on my next round.

                Currently running a TRM tune.

I might actually have a stock red label 325i chip in my parts box. Considering it's an m52 with s50 cams, would the 325i chip still be adequate to pass emissions?

When you get BAR'd is your car re-VINed by the DMV as the year, make/model of the engine in it?
Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!

^No, your Vin doesn't change. There will be a sticker put in your engine bay, on my old one on the shock tower, and your smog requirements changed in the DMV smog database.

                      Nothing changes on the title?
Mine still stays an '89 on my DMV title or what does it look like?

Nothing changes on the title. The smog shop scans the sticker (mine is inside my driver's side rear door.) and it tells the smog shop to treat the car as if it were a 95 M3. Or 325 or 540 or whatever.

didnt want to start a new thread but I had a question on header wrap during BAR. If the headers are OEM can I wrap them? How do I show proof they are OEM?

Then you *should* get it bar'd....

Being the ETA, you might have a hard time passing the M20 during smog if your not legit...

Don't waste your time and money. It's still an M20.

Eta with i engine passes smog just fine.
