I just seafoamed my car and change the plugs and I drove the car like I stole it. I would suggest octane booster plus premium gasolina.

I drove it hard and let the car idle for around 20 minutes before the guy came and tested it. I'll possibly just grab some Seafoam and octane booster from the local stores

I do have some exhaust leaks around the muffler..
Wondering if patching that up would help the NOx at all though?

Yes, I do. Kinda sucks driving a 5 speed in traffic, but I'm getting more used to it.

That usually spikes up the NOx. I would plug it up and I think you'll be a world of difference. From 3rd to first world. Good luck sire.

Steven knows how to drive 5 speed now? That was quick

this wont do anything. you need to address the issue that you have a fuel mixture issue.

So, I'm officially confused.. Herb is saying patching up the exhaust will fix me up, Eric is saying I have a fuel mix issue?

Sorry to sound like a total newb, but I'm at total loss right now

if you had said i have exhaust leaks in the CAT - big issue.
                        high NO is air/fuel issue.

If its air/fuel related, then what could the problem be?

Vacuum leaks are the most likely culprit.

So many innuendos that could ensue here lol, but that's awesome that you got the hang of it.

                              J,

Depends on where the leak is, if its in the cat, then yes that will spike your NOx. If its anywhere in the muffler, maybe an increment, like Eric said. But I would still fix it and get a new 02 sensor plus replace the regular maintenance stuff. I seafoamed my car and it smoked the whole street lol.

I heard of you're a high emitter you can be sent to smog in a year? True?
