compared to my last e30 m20 (1990 325i) I dynoed 143RWHP stock
not an apples-to-apples comparo until you swap a 5spd into your current.
i don't know how much power an autotragic sucks but it could be a lot, and i think i'd perform a tranny swap first before paying out for an engine rebuild, if it were me.
also, chat: got turned down to rent an awesome live/work loft in hayward. not too surprised, rent is just over 1/3 of gross income, which is not what a renter wants to see, but still sucks. (not helping that i was out of work for 6 months and -have- to find somewhere new after starting work again on Tuesday, either.)
i'm sick of my shithole apartment in rapidly-becoming-a-shithole san jose. just want a 2br with a garage i can work on my fucking car in. apparently that's a lot to ask these days.

Even automatic in my last e30 felt faster; I instantly noticed a difference driving this one. Not complaining about it, just noted it. Ito a running iS for a price I was happy about, and I have no room to complain about stuff post-purchase
Regardless; e30 autotragic are known to suck a lot of power. I'm probably making a big deal about my "lack of power". I have plans for future swaps anyway, so how powerful my m20 is in its current timeframe is of little importance. Really I was just contemplating a 2.7i build after semi-major stuff like five speed and coilovers; and really, cause I've always wanted to build one just to do it. As long as my m20 is still kicking and gets me where I'm going, I'm fine
Speaking of which; $31 for registration today, and my insurance dropped from $250 to $125 switch from the eclipse to the iS. It's a good day :)
