If you are running 20mm spacers and with that offset on 8" wheels, you will need 205s for clearance depending on low
Next time they try to tell you what to run, you can tell them to shove itComment

he bounces his car off that plate like he's trying to win a prize at the county fair.

Any independent place is more likely to install them than a national or franchised chain.

Race skids skid plate
Kinda
Sucks...
Bolts into the core support; it is maybe 2-3mm thick; has no support ribbing, etc.
The best skid plate I've ever seen originated from E30tech (yes, I know :weak:)
THATS what a skid plate should look like
I have the jgee plate, radeskids, and the copies, dont do anything. My plate is tuff as nails
only reason more people dont have it, is because, its 300$ +Comment

JGee's plate is on my "to buy" list before I go M3 GCs
Yet I find it hilarious how people justify $150 for the cheap plates + $100 for an inevitable smashed pan and another $50 plus $100 in labor welding in a new lower core support when the lesser plates fail
Not to mention down-time and personal labor. And then you need to buy a new plate again
Can't wait to get back from my business trip and pay J a visit when I travel to SoCal again
Or make buddies with a shop guy and use his for free :mrgreen:Last edited by JinormusJ; 06-23-2014, 10:30 PM.Comment

my grandpa passed, we buried him today. two of my dad's four siblings had the will rewritten and took everything. his sister's children are getting more than he. and all the rest of us cousins got 0. i didnt even get the WW2 medals i had asked for. my poor dad would have had his house paid off. now he get's ~ what an e30's worth. and his brother the same. while the two younger siblings are walking away with a free 700k house and the other got 100k in cash.

Sorry for your and your fathers loss. Estate disputes can quickly divide families when things do not work out to be equitable.
If the will was rewritten while your grandfather was in a diminished mental capacity there are grounds for legal action to be take to dispute the legitimacy of the will. It seems that the stage to "contest" the will may have already passed. ??Comment

California is a probate state. This means assets slated to be transferred through a will and not part of a trust or other immediately transferable document (life insurance, survivorship) will have to be confirmed by probate law. Nobobdy gets anything until probate is complete - other than those things that are immediately transferable.

my stepmother rewrote both my father's will in 2006, and my grandfather's will this year.
brother and i got a goose egg both times; and my dad was a VP at a national-level construction firm that built corporate campuses... he was pretty wealthy.
stepmother now has lymphoma, which is just as well, because otherwise i'd have half a mind to find someone who'll put a bullet in her head. karma, god, or whatever you believe in will take care of people who go through life acquiring ill-gotten gains.past:

grandma on mom's side passed a few years ago, and dividing the estate up between her four kids led to a schism that still exists now- my cousins from that aunt won't speak to me or my brother anymore, and we had zero to do with it; didn't even stand to inherit anything.
but, "my mom says your mom's a bitch so i'm not talking to you anymore" is apparently more important than 30+ years of growing up together...
brother and i have both told my mom to enjoy the rest of her life and not worry about saving more than she needs to live; i don't want to find out if we're both really mature enough to deal with it (in addition to the stress of losing the last parent we have).past:
