Haha. I drove Highway 1 from San Diego to SF on Saturday and my E30 got hit by a rock slide.
Nothing like getting stranded in the woods for 7 hours.

On that note...is there anyone in the Bay that would be kind enough to help me out this or next week with replacing my sub-frame and steering rack?

I've never done it before, but determined.

gotcha... i'm guessing it may need a serial port as well, in which case yes, you will need an old laptop. if not (or if you can find a USB:serial adapter), you might be able to use VirtualBox. PM me if you need help.

Gonna need an engine hanger of some sort to get this job done. U can use a 4x4 piece of wood cut to the length between your inner fenders, then wrap chains around the 4x4 to the engine mount arms, then you can drop out the subframe and let the drivetrain hang out.
