Help!
brakes are hard when car is off.

turn car on and it pretty much has barely any pressure behind it.
Changed master
changed booster
checked valve that goes to intake
all seem fine
bleeds fine with car off

any ideas?

bad master or did you kink a line installing it?

calipers switched? if you removed calipers and reinstalled them on the wrong sides on accident the bleeders will be on the bottom instead of the top and it will bleed but air will remain in the top of the caliper. Just a thought.

Thizzelle- Check for an obstructed or kinked line. Try blowing the lines clear with an air compressor if you don't see any kinks. I just had this issue with my Triumph.

Anyone here running 215/40/17's? I am looking for some advice on street tires.

My 5Lug swap is now imminent. I got tired of waiting on a clean set of 32's and bought a Garage Queen set of near perfect Contours, and I picked up a Med Case 4.10 diff today for $100. Not an LSD like I was told before the 2 hour drive... but it will work with my M42 until I am ready for the M62/S62 swap that should happen just after the new year.

It's an M car meetup, but there always are minis and non m cars from what I hear so I guess it's a more general BMW gathering. There will be a BBQ, (bring your own drinks), and a $1 raffle that includes detail jobs, hid kits, service jobs, parts, etc. should be a cool gathering. 120 or so rsvp'd on Facebook

Just moved over from L.A to SJ and I'm looking for a reputable shop in the area that does standup work, mainly just routine maintenance. I'm willing to go as far as SF for the right shop, pretty bummed CAtuned is about 2 hours away
