BMW VIN Decoder retrieves detailed information about the equipment and production details of BMW, ALPINA, MINI and Rolls Royce vehicles and BMW motorcycles. Attached are generated photos of your configuration.

none of them show the rear drive. but if you wonder what you have jack up your car and hand spin the wheel. if the other side spins backwards it is open, if the same way it is LSD.
      Much wow

easiest way is the tag on the case, but I know people who have gotten a case that has the "S" tag on it (ie S2.93) but the internals still wasnt a LSD. Thats rare though

Is this an M3 seat? Double horizontal stitching?

they are almost just like vert seats but vert seats have piping and the pull handle is a little nub

Hmm, yeah I know how to do check for LSD manually, was hoping there is a way to tell via realoem/bimmerfans. I'm not as big of a noob as my post count indicates ;) Trying to save myself a trip to every single yard in the bay area lol. I'm starting to get worried that I won't be able to find an S2.93 anytime soon!

put the last 7 into a option sheet lookup thing like http://bmwvin.com/ and see if locking differential is in options? not 100% reliable since diffs can get swapped out over the years, but it's a start.

They look like vert seats to me. I have the same kind as my passenger seat. (No piping, same back seat release)

For people that have done a x50/52 swap, did you use the e36 charcoal canister or the e30?

I used the E30, the referee didnt ask which car it came from, but he did test it along with the EVAP system among the other things he needed to check

Used the E30 as well. ref looked at stuff and said it was OK. didn't physically test evap function.

I've used the e30 charcoal canister on a convertible 24v I built for my friend, and another friend used the stock e30 charcoal canister as well for his 24v.

                              Both cars passed BAR.
