the guy checked the stamped code on the side of the block, didn't care about the engine VIN sticker. it was actually the same guy as before even though I went to a different station.. turns out he's double timing in skyline college this month to get through their backlog. because it was the same guy, he didn't go through the whole checkup this time, just verified that the stuff that was not good before was good now.

You don't need a red label ECU, e30 doesn't give a shit about EWS. I ran a silver label 413 because my motor is a '95 M50TU.
Whole checkup involves getting engine block number, cat numbers, looking to see if downpipes are modified at all, checking for stock manifolds, looking at the ECU # (must match motor) and verifying that all the intake hoses are OE and in good shape.

dmitriy, the Z3's headlight on the impact side has two broken mount tabs :(
also it looks like the Z3's exhaust has a secondary cat in the rear section, after the flange? please tell me that's just a fucking resonator that looks like a cat...past:
