no it's not. it was a few-hundred-dollar job that the exhaust shop down the street from e30motorworks did when i asked for it. nobody local wants it, and it's too big to ship. i want it out of my garage. just come take it and put it on your beater. i'm gonna be pulling more stuff off the Z3 for a local drift guy on sunday.

I kept my M42 for this very reason. Now to decide if I think I will ever actually buy a chassis to put around the engine, or sell the engine to help fund my current E30 swap.

Super cool, I have a DASC that I hope to put on mine... the question is will it fit. I have 2 02's, the m10 was just pulled from the soon to be m42 car while I DD my Tii. Needs to hit the body shop first though :)

I've seen the DASC setup; James (mr2peak I think) had a four-banger Z3 with one in the shop he works at when I dropped by a few months ago. It's compact, pretty much uses up the space the long curved runners of the stock M42 mani occupy. I think you'll be ok.

any tricks to putting on front sway bar bushings. Seems retarded impossible to shove tab in then pivot around a bulky bushing and try to get a tiny bolt through. I've done it with a friend pretty much doing a pullup on the bar while i clamped down and got screw through but this time i'm alone.

lots and lots of lube. i then use a c-clamp to press them in and use the bolt on the car to do the rest.
                    Much wow

Try Freezing the bushings and lube
freezing them will make them just a little bit smaller.

ok thanks guys. I have lube and a c-clamp on them now, was just gonna give it a turn a couple times a day and let sit till eventually I can get a bolt with some thread through. Also saw to use vise grips so will try that Friday night.

A supercharged M42 in a 2002 chassis would be epic.

Also. I can't get the idea of mudflaps out of my head. Someone talk me out of it.

                            Hey NorCal friends :D

I know I haven't been around here in a year or so, but just wanted to swing by to say hello. Leaving Chicago this Saturday to travel around the continent in my E30, then coming back to California but to LA..

If you'd like to follow me and my E30 around North America, I'll be aiming to post on my Instagram everyday.

Also have a thread here, as I'm hoping to meet R3Vers from across the continent over the next few weeks.
