Right now I am partly stripping it for powercoating(misc engine parts). Then order new gaskets/hoses that are easy to change. Button up and swap, turbo will come in a year or so. I have been building it for two years and just want to enjoy it more than build on it.
Long term is ARP, rebuilt head with a custom billet cam from IE, IE HD rockers and schrick springs. Custom twin scroll manifold(in works big things coming), Tial 38mm wastegates, Hx40 or a gt37r. Not sure on management, injector size and other bits. Pretty much looking to bust over 500 on a dyno then detune for street use(400ish).
Laziness, and no knowledge. He has no clue what is going on with the no crank problem. I mean sure spending some time trouble shooting and researching he could find the answer, but its knowledge he lacks.
I am the same way, if I do not know how to do something I will slack on it...

I have wanted to do an m30 swap for awhile, and everyone says they are crap, so some feedback would be great once you put it in.
Sourcing a motor now/close future for cheap and slowly rebuilding it sounds like something I could do.
I got my car registered up in Lake County, so once I have my car smogged once I am good to go and can do whatever I please because it is a smog once type of thing.
Depending on engine you are getting 208-215hp and 225trq on the m30. You gain 65ish pounds, timing chain is one of the major reasons I wanted an m30. Not to mention the better 260/6 transmission.
I don't see how they are crap...rode in Tom's m30 before he pulled it for the s38 rebuild he is swapping in. They go like crazy.
I would get one out of an e34, so it is for sure the m30b35 and the updated "pretty" one.
Not sure how/where I would find the 260/6 but I would love to have that.
As for people thinking they are crap. The main argument is that they are too heavy and the weight is more towards the front of the car messing up the suspension geometry.
HAHA holy christ! F34r is a mod now!
It seems like it was just yesterday that you were doing deathly drift maneuvers to avoid traffic collisions..they grow up so fast.
I know it is not new, but October Sky is awesome. Escape from Alcatraz staring Clint Eastwood is also on there and very good. Rules of Engagement is a wicked funny TV show.
