check the roof, make sure the rubber is good, that the power windows align with the top. Check for rust under the battery tray, check the spare tire well for water-rust issues. They usually need new seats. Make sure it's a cali only car and that the car has been smogged within the past 30 days. Blown speakers is common. And dont spend more than 3k on a db car.

Are seats readily available for verts? And the rear battery tray? How if there's a weight in there?

i paid 2k for my seats to get redone.
the battery is in the engine bay for verts.
delete the trunk weight.

front seats are the same as other e30s (at least, i didn't run into anything when pulling my vert seats and installing corbeaus).

pull up the carpet on the passenger side of the trunk, you'll see the weight. i got rid of that at the same time i went to electric fan and got rid of the last of the AC setup, noticeable difference.

i wish they'd been standard equipment. doesn't matter what engine you have in the vert, it is gonna handle like a big bag of ass without the hardtop.

it doesnt handle all that much better with the hard top on. (had one, sold it) the weight of it make the already slower sister slow....

maybe because i'd already done solid or urethane bushings/new suspension/brake upgrade/lots of tire, but it was night and day for me.
