M30 swap parts are easy to get, the only custom thing you need is mounts, and several people make those. The weight is not significantly further forward, an inch at most. b35 (the only m30 worth swapping in) makes 218/230 on the stock ecu and top end. They were wade up to 93, as well.Not only does it weigh more, that weight is also farther forward, in the engine bay.
the M50 is than the m30. they both produce similar power, both should be rebuilt and the M50's center of mass is farther back. parts for the swap are easier to get. im just not seeing the benefits of this m30 idea. plus if i am not mistaken LBV has a 1992 and there is no M30 that new, so he wont be able to bar the car.
benefits of the m30: looks better, sounds better and takes boots very well.Comment

M50 is easier mechanically but takes some electronic fiddling. M30 is easier electrically, but is a fat arse of an engine and may need clearancing. The other problem with M30 is exhaust headers. There's no ebay headers available, e32 headers work but require some sledge work on the lower corner of the passenger firewall.
I don't argue that the m/s5x is more modern, supported by the aftermarket, etc etc. It obviously is all those things, as well as more expensive to buy and maintain. My argument is that the M30 is not a worthless pile of shit.Comment
