Not necessarily. If the chassis you started with for D's car had 500k on it, would it be any less of a car today? Maintenance>>miles and it appears that herbs new car has been maintained. Mine has 200k on it (well in like a month it will) and I've had it for a year with zero issues.The first car I ever rode in was an e30

here's my thinking.
you buy a 2k car, put 8 into it to make it nice.
or you buy a 5k that is pretty nice and drive it. <- less time and less money.
plus the M42 is a joke. all m42s are POSs

haha, its all good, it's mainly a long term project. When the engine decides to end it's own (I hope not anytime soon haha), it's pretty much well expected. So far, I just drove it here on campus and its a definite runner, no issues, no surprises. However, but not sure for how long this engine will last. I'm a happy camper for what I paid for.
