245/40/17 are my current specs and I don't rub at all

All I know is what didn't work by a very long way on my car. It wasn't even close. Eh, the car drives 100% better with the stock wheels anyway. You couldn't pay me to run a set of 17s on the car again. (Although I really do like the look of the M-tech2s. A set with polished rims and a non-bling gold centers would be sweet, if they came in a 16 or 15.)

235/45/17 is way too tall for an E30. In reality 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 are too.

A good meaty size would be 235/40/17 or 245/35/17.
