getting a whole 535i is not as useful as you'd think. An e30 M1.3 harness is much easier to use than the e34 one.

I'd look for a long block and a trans, grab an e30 harness. I'm going to visit an E3 guy this weekend who's supposedly got a big stash of parts; can let you know if he's got anything for you.

Do you have e24 exhaust manifolds and downpipes + cat?

Is there any kind of gtg in SF?? or maybe a location thats good for one?? Im driving my car down this weekend from Seattle and theres a few guys I want to meet. Im having dinner with the family on Sat night in SF so Im thinking, why not?

Okay new problem. In third gear I'm hitting the rev limiter at 5500 RPM. it should be 7000... any ideas?

well i checked myself and went and looked at cl, and early-90s 535i's are 1500-3000... which is how much i'd want, given that the ITB setup cost me almost a g and a half. hmm

I'll buy you a 1992 535i stick with a newer clutch that needs a head gasket. Complete running car, doesn't overheat, some oil in the coolant. 100% serious. Would you flat out sell me your m42?

sounds like the VSS cutout, but I thought it was a lower rpm.

I have found if the VSS isn't connected to the DME the car will run super lean from ~6200 to 7k. 5500 may be a vanos issue or something, I forget the exact window but it should be retarding timing again around 5k-5500.
