        Elcoy 5lug conversion + BBK kit Group Buy might start up again, last time it was up for sale it was going for 450 for the kit. He needs 10-15 people who are interested in order to get things going.

        Anyone here interested?

        Itll allow you to convert to 5x120
        E46m Front calipers and rotors
        E46 non m rear rotors with e39 540i calipers

        Nate asked about brake bias and it was calculated below;

        Assembled on jburnsbmw's build;

              I do love E46 330/M3 brakes but that bias shift actually increases stopping distances, sadly. A change from .65 to .71 front bias in an already front-biased setup reduces total theoretical stopping power by about 8-9%.

              Still a cool idea but probably not for me.

                Yeah but who cares about that?! You could have 5x120's!

                      Yeah, I'll be pretty excited when it's all said and done. 2-car garage and a huuuuuuge driveway. Pretty sure it'll fit 6 cars. I hope to see it filled with E30s when I have a housewarming party, y'all. I know I've never met a lot of you but if you're friends with Nate, Dmitriy or Oliver, we're cool.

                      All I did for my 5-lug was normal E36 front brakes, Z3 1.9 rears (about the same as E30M3 bits), Porterfield R4S pads, and the E38 m-cyl (I like a soft pedal for heel-toeing).

                      The car drops anchor, like right fucking now.

                      I don't know if it'd be good for repeated laps on a track, but I've always been more of a "lose you on Skyline" guy than a track-day br0h.

                      I love the BRZ, but damn I miss my loud, uncomfortable, uncivilized E30.

                        I'm sure it does, and the feel will be waaaaay better than stock e30 equipment. I just hate to drop that kind of cash and effort ($450 plus looks like you still need bearings and calipers/rotors etc so it's really not much cheaper than regular 5 lug) on a setup that will actually decrease brake performance without manual futzing about with the bias. I don't know if you've driven a car with race pads, but PFCs with stock E30 brakes will pull your eyes out of their sockets, time and time again.

                        Speaking of, I signed up for another Laguna day--12/12. The event is nearly full but I always get people asking to let them know so they can come check it out or ride along, so if anyone wants to come check it out or ride along, hit me up.

                          Except me of course
                          Just like Omi, I'm flattered you've become my cheerleader, but it's not you, it's me. Baby, we need a break. We should start seeing other people
