Ok. Check my "318ic restore" thread for the other stuff you'll need. E36 S52 control arms, offset CA mounts, and camber plates, IIRC, and I'd recommend M-coupe shocks rather than what I went with. Suspension/brakes were the first thing I did so it should be at the beginning of the thread.

Steven took some pictures. But we were done on schedule, thanks to Dmitriy for that.

Thanks for the hardtop man! Sorry I wasn't able to stay for the BBQ engine pull, super burnt-out on car stuff at the new job.
Get a harbor-freight $50 electric impact and socket set for dismantling the Z3. Trust me, it will cut the time (and frustration level) way way down.Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

I think its time to put this member on blast... the guy who sent my fenders to SF hasnt responded to my email, my PM and none of his threads logged in yesterday. I hate this kind of stuff but its seems to be the only way to get any kind of responseSimon

Front half is e36, rear e30 with a lot of e30 issues addressed. No extra set of soft brake lines above the subframe. The subframe bushings mount against a plate instead of locating into the bosses. That's about it other than the obvious 5 lug and bushing differences.Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

having had the idea put in my head, though... i could build a pretty mental little Z3 with the collection of parts i have. and the curb weight on a stock one is about the same as my weight-reduced vert, when it still had an engine in it.
simon, what are you after from the guy? refund on shipping?past:

Lol
But just remember that the Z3 has serious subframe issues! The green s54 coupe was showing signs of an impending faliure, and that car was never driven particularly hard. The Randy Forbs subframe kit that's going in will be a bit over $4k by the time it's done, and that's not a feasable backyard job. You need a lift, good welding skills at the absolute minimum.Drive it hard. Maintain it well.
