LoL I live to drive ha I'll just pull out my e46 and we will take a quick stroll. All I need know is when.Comment

Not sure about a driveshaft shop, but here's a diff that's been listed online for quite some time if you haven't seen it already:

Is the front diff bolt in the same location as an E36? I have a spare dual ear cover.
I miiiight be interested in that. Would be the equivalent of a 4.27 gearing-wise on an E46 with their tire size. The 3.91 on my car is already the equivalent of a 4.10 in an e46. Yay shorter tires!
Will be hilarious with the ZF/5 until the 6spd happens.Comment

You have a 3.91 already? Is it borked?
Cases are the same. Do you have a 4 or 6 bolt driveshaft?
Eric has a 4.10 medium case I was going to snag. It's open, but a LS unit can probably be found. I am arranging to trade a 3.46 to zandr for his 3.15, and that has a clutch LS unit. Sadly not the Motorsport one..
We sould play diff legos. I need to swap torsen and clutch units between two diffs.Comment

Possibly interested in 4.10 open, if I can't find an LSD 3.91.
I want 3.91 or thereabouts to go with 6 speed. Though 3.46 would be basically e46 m3 stock gearing.Comment

The byzanz bitch is up for sale, just in case anyone local wants to keep it in the area

this 4.10 is a 4 bolt, which probably sucks to swap over. not aware of any 6 bolt 3.91s around.Comment

With the 6 speed I'd be using an m3 auto driveshaft so I'd need a 4 bolt diff....but that'll require some machining to convert the smg to manual, so that's a ways off.
Parts compatibility for '95 E36s is just weird and/or annoying.
Any idea how difficult it is to swap diff input flange?Comment

Bruh. Didn't you just say you didn't want to sell? Haha.
Nobody can be certain. I see it all the time "I'll never sell the car" then they sell it the next month. Hell, I did that with my wrx. I stopped saying that, but at the same time just say "I don't plan to sell it anytime soon"... Meh. In too deep
