Is the front diff bolt in the same location as an E36? I have a spare dual ear cover.

I miiiight be interested in that. Would be the equivalent of a 4.27 gearing-wise on an E46 with their tire size. The 3.91 on my car is already the equivalent of a 4.10 in an e46. Yay shorter tires!

Will be hilarious with the ZF/5 until the 6spd happens.

Eric has a 4.10 medium case I was going to snag. It's open, but a LS unit can probably be found. I am arranging to trade a 3.46 to zandr for his 3.15, and that has a clutch LS unit. Sadly not the Motorsport one..

We sould play diff legos. I need to swap torsen and clutch units between two diffs.

I'm looking for a 4 bolt 5 speed driveshaft anyway. I'm not sure how rebuildable my 6 bolt is.

With the 6 speed I'd be using an m3 auto driveshaft so I'd need a 4 bolt diff....but that'll require some machining to convert the smg to manual, so that's a ways off.

Parts compatibility for '95 E36s is just weird and/or annoying.

Any idea how difficult it is to swap diff input flange?

Nobody can be certain. I see it all the time "I'll never sell the car" then they sell it the next month. Hell, I did that with my wrx. I stopped saying that, but at the same time just say "I don't plan to sell it anytime soon"... Meh. In too deep

I did say that but that was before this E30 moved in and now I remember why I originally fell in love with them lmao imo, if I put 6k into any E30, everything about it will be better than the E36 except comfort, which I don't care about just yet haha I want one or 2 loud and harsh toys before I go back to the refined and respectable spectrum
