The time has come for the annual Dockweiler meet!!
Now in its 13th year, the annual Dockweiler Meet is fast approaching!
From the humble beginnings of E30 owners looking for a place to hang, on to potlucks and bonfires and raffles, and now on to big partnerships, this meet has been steadily growing but staying close to tradition. We come together to relax and chat, eat some good food, and maybe take home a prize. The event has traditionally focused on E30’s, but attendance has grown with other older/vintage BMW's.
Everybody's car is welcome, from daily drivers to garage queens, project cars to track rats. Bring a chair, bring an open mind. Check out the prize table, produced by the companies who support the chassis and support our desires to improve our cars. Raffle tickets are available now via RSVP, and available at the meet as well.
If you are interested, we encourage you to RSVP now, which gives you 3 raffle tickets and 3 tacos for $5. This also indicates an approximate attendance, so we know about how much food/drinks to supply. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Raffle tickets will be available at the event as well, at $1 per ticket, $10 for 12, and $20 for 25.
Tacos will be $5 for 3. Bring cash!
As of now, our sponsors/partners include:
Aquaphant, Bavarian Restoration, BimmerHeads, BMW CCA Los Angeles, Castro Motorsport, CA Tuned, Daniel's Tacos, EF1 Motorsports, Garagistic, International Aero Detail products, Ireland Engineering, Kinetic Rennsport, Liqui Moly, Motion Sports Apparel, Motorsport Hardware, Shadowline Motorsports, and W-Standard!
Other potential partners are in the works. Great prizes are soon to be announced!
The event itself is otherwise free to attend, aside from a parking fee at the gate of Dockweiler Beach. The fee ranges from $5-$13, depending on the overall crowd at the beach that day.
This event it good for all ages, families and friends, car nuts and non-car folks. Please respect everyone and their cars. All BMW's are welcome, however, the E30 chassis is featured for this event, and will receive priority parking. Non-BMW's are welcome but are asked to park off to the side. It is a beach, so maybe bring a towel and sandals, maybe bring chairs and an umbrella, perhaps you'll want to bring a soccer ball or football? Sunscreen is recommended. Check the forecast prior to attending for adequate clothing. Extra clothing/layers is a good idea. Cell service may not be great down there.
Lastly and perhaps the most important: we are meeting at the far North parking lot! Not the first lot. Keep driving up to the third lot!
We're excited to see you and your old bimmer! Hope you have fun and meet some great people!
It's not a show, it's a meet. Feel free to bring anything from your garage queen to your daily beater. It's all good.
Feel free to spread the word and share the flyer on all your social media.
