Yes? If toyota sells a rwd, turbo, manual car for mid 25k they have a winner. I don't want AWD unless it's for my dog hauler.

Ross, congrats man! You going for 5 next?

Subaru lost it's way a few generations ago. IMO it started with the 08 WRX and trickled into the new Outback. And those "love" commercials where some idiot can't find his sunglasses or car are straight up insulting to Subaru owners. I wouldnt want to share the planet, much less the road with the type of fools they represent.
Solution: buy an e36 for track!

Haven't we learned to disregard what you say? Lol... I still think Subaru should split itself in half kind of.... Have the market for the outback and all the outdoor crowd and all that shut, then kind of pander to the tuners instead of melding the two, which I think is happening. The Impreza has gone flaccid since the original STI came out... Like I said, re-release the GC chassis as an STi in America with the newest go fast goodies and tech, and I'd be shocked if they didn't sell enough to make it worth while... I wasn't a fan of the 07 body, till I bought one... I wasn't a fan of the 08 till I saw em in person, now I want an 08 or 09 hatch really badly as a DD..... With a big turbo, coils, and a built block of course...

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!

Chris - sect coil overs! So jelly

Ross - congrats on the baby! I think I might have made my wife preggers this weekend...

Subaru fanbois - I was in Guam in 09 for a scuba dive trip. The dealer had a brand new, never sold 07 Sti in pearl white with gold wheels. He was asking 28k with a motivation to sell. I would guess 25k would have been possible! I tried everything possible to talk the loan department (wife) that this was a good idea, but I didn't suceed :(
that's all I have to contribute to the styling of the new imprezza

Engineers - anybody know the conversion rate for wrhp to engine hp on a mustang dunk???

Should I be saying congrats on the soon to be munchkin or I'm sorry your life is going to change abruptly?

Mustang dyno I've heard is the most accurate, but conversion depends more on driven wheels.

RWD I've heard anywhere from 12-20%, AWD 20-25%, FWD 10-18%.

Someone woke up in a great mood.

GC won't come back for same reason the E30 won't come back to regular production: won't remotely pass modern safety standards, chassis is as stiff as cooked spaghetti, vehicle dynamics aren't anywhere as good as modern versions, etc etc.

Yeah, different piston sizes, and different mounting bolt sizes/locations.

Oh well. Still cool they use the same pads, you find that out before you bought some?

No, but I would have bought the ones I did regardless of that knowledge. This just means I can take the M5 to the track someday if I want without having to buy more pads.

The passenger side of the car is done too. Back to the garage to do the driver's side.

Speaking of a rwd, turbo, manual Toyota, I saw this a day or two ago...I wouldn't mind an mk2 mr2 turbo...such cool little cars.

Well, I wouldn't be heartbroken, because I think my 2 year old would love a little brother... But neither myself or my wife are really interested in having another one!

So I dyno'd the E30 today. Kind of hard to get real numbers without a working tachometer 3 dyno runs is only $35 so I'll be sure to do it again when I get the guage cluster working again.

anyways the euro motor put down 229whp and 250ft lbs. Seams a bit low compared to some of the other numbers I've seen. Also I'm getting a decent amount of white smoke when I let off on decel... damn valve guides.:drink:

I don't know if the numbers will change at all, but we guessed on the start RPM of idle (no working tach) and the print out shows cutoff at 6,000rpm which is 1600rpm short of the stock redline. He also put the weight at 3950lbs!
