So tonight a work buddy and I took the M42 out of the 318is, and put the M20 in. It took 3.75 hours. Man, E30s are so easy to work on.

Yeah, swapping a motor physically is not a time consuming project at all. Getting everything in and running right is another story sometimes.

hah, no, not installed and running! No way that would happen in 3.75 hrs! Went from putting the 318is up on jackstands, removing everything from radiator to diff, to just bolting in the M20/G260. Nothing else is hooked up yet. I am going to do that today, and try to decipher any wiring that needs to happen.

This is off topic, but I haven't had much luck in the WTB section.. My original guy with these parts fell through.. So, I'm looking for a LFF, Hood, and a complete FB assy (plastic) for my late model vert. At this point color doesn't matter (car is Schwartz). Or do you guys know of any self-serve junk yards around CO with some e30's lying around? I know the LFF is vert specific, and has been a challenge to find nearby..Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
