      No, it got a HJ.

He has two IX's, this one is the euro car, and his white one is a normal US spec one with goodies.

I say your embrace the 4x4 status. E46 control arms, raise it up more & 14" weaves and super knobby tires!

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Removed the wiring harness from my M5 today without any breakage, didn't think that was going to be possible.

Really beginning to think that this engine might be salvageable, anyone want a refreshed S38B36+G280? :D

I got de-greased the F out of my VANOS area on the M Coupe yesterday. I think the leak is coming from the VANOS seal area, which is not a job I'm looking forward to. I couldn't get it to leak running it in the garage. Might have to mount the fan back up and drive it a little harder.

I run away from VANOS. It seems to cause nothing but trouble, and any performance gain is negligible. I am so glad that BMW made NV M60s and M62s.

you're quite wrong on that one.

As David points out, this is quite incorrect.

VANOS is all face and no trousers. Just like individual throttle bodies :-D

yeesh, ok ok so there is some performance gain. Not that I have seen on M60/M62s though.

thinking about it some more, what exactly is the benefit of VANOS, in general?

It seems M62 power didn't go up much w/ VANOS, M50 not at all...

disclaimer: I am not familiar w/ newer engines, esp w/ regards to VANOS.
