and i am not sure if your rack is drained or not, David, but I drove my car a while back with just the PS belt taken off, and now compared to the drained rack, it is WAY easier to steer. As a matter of fact, the whole way home from work today i didn't even notice the PS was missing (except for the CRAZY power increase!) until i got home and was navigating into the driveway.

I mean, it's KINDA hard to turn at anything under 3mph, but after one day you get used to it. I bought the car with busted PS, so I actually had no idea what PS was like until i got the vert two months ago.
.....and it has since been deleted as well!
edit: also, it makes under hood stuff WAY easier. alternator, starter, you name it, the xtra space is awesome.

hey shot in the dark here, but when i did my TB/HG job, i broke the brackets on both of my p/s and a/c things. would you be willing to part with yours, if they're in good condition?1991 325iC - Mauritsblau sumthin metallic blue. DEAD
