what kind of sub? what kind of amp? are you talking about like a full stereo install, or ???

me and my roommate were pumpin out a couple back in the summer for our friends, i'm sure i can get yours goin for you. and believe me, e30 installs are a breeze for me now. lol. 3 e30s, and 1 e34 stereo install, all still going strong. lol.

I have the rear speaker boxes w/ mids and tweeters in em, front tweeter pods w/ tweeters, and the front mids. All were said to be tested before I sent money. It's a cheap sub from Amazon that was actually suggested by Luke, Coustic Crusher or something like that. Amp is Titanium Power, something Luke is also a vendor for, he sold me the box and amp. 100.4 I think it says, 100 watt, 4 ch.?

Deck is a Kenwood KDC X693, already installed in the car. I just gotta get the speakers, box, sub, amp, etc. in and working

well, i think if you have a four channel, you're gonna need it for the inside speakers. channel per speaker, and i'm sure you can splice the tweets into the fronts anywho.

wait wait wait.

your deck is a 50x4, so you can prolly get the inside speaks wired to that, and look at bridging that amp so you can hook up the sub to it.

if you're serious about it, let me know. i have panel poppers and everything waiting, lol. you will need to buy some power wire for the sub. did it come in a kit or anything?

i'll ask my roommate how to deal with your four channel amp for your sub... brb

Luke's suggestions were to run deck power to rear speakers, 2 channels for front speakers, and 2 channels to the sub.

Thanks for your offer though. I wanna get this all done ASAP, but I don't wanna mess it up so I was hoping my friend could help. Not that I don't want your help, but I don't really wanna drive down to Denver right now lol, the roads around here are shit, I dunno about Denver.

you're saying you have a 4 channel amp, but you're gonna use it for 3 speakers? is the amp bridgeable?

loosely based on what youre saying, IMO, you'd want to run the 4 channel for the interior speakers, then either look at a bridgeable 2channel amp that can run your single sub, or, buy another subwoofer. however if you buy a sub to run with that amp, you're looking at a 400w 4channel amp. which is 100w/channel.

100w front driver side
100w front pass side
100w - 8"/10" woofer
100w - 8/10" woofer.

i don't think that may be enough...

i have an aftermarket radio and can follow the wiring to two speakers in the back, 2 on the left and right front ick panels that all work and I have 2 tweeters that don't seem to be connected.

is there any way I can check to see whether they are just not wored/ if they could be wired without pulling the whole center console?

I know VERY, VERY little about audio. I literally bought everything Luke (Stereoinstaller1) told me to. I made this list public in the audio section and no one said anything negative about it. I was told to run 2 channels to the fronts, deck power to the rear, and 2 channels to the sub.

yup, do that. I can show you how to do it. its very easy.

in a nutshell:

1. RCAs go from head unit to the amp
2. switch wire (singular) goes from head unit to the amp, sometimes included in the RCA cable package.
3. power wire goes from battery (+) terminal to the amp.
4. ground wire goes from the car frame to the amp.
5. Speaker wires go from the sub to the amp.
6. speaker wires go from the 2 front speakers to the amp.

run those wires, and I'll show you how/where to connect them.

what you need to buy: A set of RCA cables w/ switch wire, power cable w/ inline fuse, ground cable, and a roll of speaker wire.

as a matter of fact, my phone is lost, and yes it is off, i have no idea why, i am so pissed because now its impossible to find it. I went to work this morning and a few hours later realized i didn't have my phone. It could be at home, it could be at work, or crushed on the driveway.

Sounds good both of you. I just removed the trunk tar and rear seat tar in like, 20 minutes.. I heart dry ice.

My buddy who came down also yanked all the speakers, and door blanks. Might stop to eat here in a minute or two then call Luke back and see what he says...

I actually got to fool around in Sam's car last night. And it really isn't that bad without power steering. It felt almost the same as my M's rack/resistance. I did like the feedback it gave though, quite precise. I guess I don't really have anything to compare this to though since I haven't driven an e30 in 5 years before this.
