Yes, that actually happened to me. I have pics somewhere. Timing belt skipped a bunch of teeth and bent all 12 valves and broke 2 pistons. TB skippped at 6k rpm...

If anyone is looking for a very tame exhaust, get an ANSA OEM one, its not actually OEM (in that it has a double flange instead of a single flange and an insert) but it sounds pretty nice In my opinion, not super loud and not droney. Now if i just Fix my valve adjustment it will sound nice. Valves sound like a diesel truck...
