Ok kids, I'm planning on dropping a few $ on the M3 this spring. Ideally I keep this between $1-2k

Ideas I'm tossing around:
-Exhaust
-Short shifter
-Repaint roof


What would you do if you were me?

Exhaust or SSK, that's what i'd do.

If you could figure out how to do both for under 2k that would be ideal.

I'd handle the paint issues. I assume you plan on keeping it until it's worth $200k in the next 15 years correct?

I say go for SSK. What a dramatic change it brings to your whole driving experience. I still am blown away by how nice and smooth and tight it is.

On a side note, in real-world driving how does just the SSK compare to the SSK + DSSR? Anybody have both, or have compared?

Ohh I want a turbo s14. Because its a m3 I would say paint, if it wasn't then exhaust and ssk for sure. But if you plan on repainting down the road then exhaust ssk. Akg makes a dssr for less then uuc, iirc.

I have an SSK in both cars. Euro car has a Z3 1.9 with stock linkage. A little sloppier compared to the sedan with EVO and DSSR, but still feels awesome.
