i have a question, well i didnt get to much like i planned today mainly because i was reading up on electrical stuff.. But i tested the coolant temp sensor and its reading 314.4 ohms... (i touched the two pins on the sensor with the multimeter.. i think thats how its done.. dont see any other way.
Bentley States that at operating temp it should be 270-400 ohms... the car hasnt been started in 24 hours.. The coolant temp is the about 65 ish right now.. which bentley states should be 2100-2900 ohms..
I do have a new temp sensor actually two.. and checked both of them with the outside weather which was 67.. both reading 297.2 ohms..
So the question is is that sensor that is in the car good? or am i probing it (reading it) wrong some how.sigpic

Ripped the M50 out of Andy's car today. Resealing the motor tomorrow. Ordered headers for it tonight, hopefully see them Friday and have the car back together and running that day!

No, it's not hard, just takes time. Reassembling can be a bit tricky because the side mechanisms need to be aligned and set at specific angle to be installed. Also, the back cover on the passenger seat was a bitch to put on - tilt levers sticking out on both sides.Alpinewhite 318iComment
