Anyone have a known working 325iS guage cluster I can barrow to see if the one I have is faulty?

Swap the 325e one out to replace with the 325i one (The car is essentially an Eta that can rev to 6k+ RPM, i'd like to swap tachometers.). With the 325i one in, the Tach doesn't work at all, with the 325e one in, it works as it should. Wiring for the tachometer is done right, so I know that isn't the issue.

Also noticed that the cluster that came in the car is a Motometer (I think), the one I want to use is a VDO.. Can you interchange these? Sorry if this is a noob question.

You may have to just change the coding plug on the cluster.

I have a cluster for every m20 and they all work.

You may have to just change the coding plug on the cluster.

Yep, after doing my 24v swap I didnt swap out the 318is coding plug and my RPM's would go all the way around 1.5 times then go flat line.

My 323 has all that. But the door is messed up and I may be getting an 88 door. Just curious if everything will go in

And door cards don't matter anyway, they all have that plastic piece that pops out for a crank.

It was my understanding that late model door panels don't have the plastic piece or even a hole there. I know my 91 doesn't have them there.
