awww yeah, vw is going to buy back my TDI in a few months.

Now, can I justify the sheer stupidity of buying a Focus RS? :devil:

I was going back and forth between a focus rs, a wrx and a golf R and for me, the latter ticked all the boxes better. If nothing else, the fit and finish of the German car won, hands down. But the focus has the grunt and horses. All fun cars.

Can't say I blame you there. And I'd probably feel the same way if I had a tdi about now.

I was under the mistaken impression that there might be some good deals on vw's right now. Not the case on the golf R. But if you want a Tiguan or a Routan right now, that might be a different story.

looking to buy hardware and ish. Like bolts to my ban. Washers and nuts for my intake. Nuts and washers maybe studs for my exhaust on the head part.. Ish like that. Any websites where I can find all these types of things not just jump around from website to website. Can't really do that while at work thanks haha, Thanks a lot.

Pelican Parts has most of the bolts and nuts. Also the funky clips, inserts and the like. Although it takes a week or so to source them. Then they ship.

New wheels and suspension

I just got my coilovers on and adjusted last night. I need to check the toe on the front as it feels in a little bit but drives pretty good considering the spring rates the setup came with.

Get an alignment. At least in terms of toe.

If I had a TDI right now id be eyeing up the RS, after family having a GTI I don't find the fit and finish of VW worth the issues that usually come with them.

In first month of ownership on a MK6 GTI we had weird drive-shaft noise from from right drive-shaft. VW guy said there was none, even after going on freeway and you could hear it clear as day. Lots of plastic parts seemed to fall apart or out.

Other then that it was ok, but 1 month old and having issues was a red flag for a new car.
