    Car is happy too!

It's timing belt/water pump season. I really want to replace my radiator with a mishimoto but I don't think they make a replacement for a standard M20. OEM may be my best option.

Going to replace my throttle body - has anyone ever replace the TPS? How hard is it to adjust it properly, etc.?

Trying to figure out some new tires for the E30. I can't decide on size or what to get.. any 1st hand experience from the board?

      Specs: 15x7 O.Z. Hartge et26
H&R OE Sports, Bilstein B6, refreshed F&R subframes, Z3 rack, OE M3 RSB.

1st issue is size. Ideally I want to run a 205/55/15. Only two options are Dunlop Direzza DZ102 & Yoko S. Drives... I'd go Dunlop here.

205/50 has a ton more options, but not all the sidewall that I ideally want to run. My car is nowhere near slammed & I think it'd end up looking goofy. Here I'd run a Azenis RT615K+, Direzza ZIII or RE-71R.

I don't want to spend more than $120/tire.

      Opinions?

It's very easy to adjust. Simply set it so that you hear the "click" as soon as the throttle starts to move.

Noted - are you still in Bothell?

My coworker is potentially looking at turboing an M30 - any chance you could get your car out and take him for a spin? PM me if it makes better sense. He lives in our neck of the woods as well.

The Direzza DZ102 is a very good summer tire (I've used them on the track and they held they're own) but will turn rock hard in the cold. The S drives are a good tire but are not a fan of camber, since you're not that low it shouldn't be a problem.

Yep, still in bothell. I can swing by if you need/want help setting the TPS.
I'd love to take him for a ride, however I need to get the car tuned first. It's driveable but runs very poorly atm.

Thanks for the feedback! I should say that wet weather traction is still important to me as I drive it year round. Good to know that the Dunlops get hard in the cold.

Anyone have any opinions on this.

                            I'm torn.

I'm looking to get a car I can actually track. I've been looking at e46 and e36 m3s. If I buy an e46, I'd probably sell off my e30.

So is a 318is AND an e36m better than just an e46m.

Low e46m prices are taunting my 21 year old brain.

The E46M3 is still my favorite 3 series BMW. With that said, insurance will be expensive for you. Parts are (IMHO) wayyy overpriced, and there are those key components that NEED to be addressed on the front end of ownership (VANOS, possible rod bearing replacement, rear subframe reinforcement and cooling system overhaul). With all of those areas taken care of, the E46M3 is a SOLID vehicle that is a very highly capable track car.

With that said, buy an E36 M3. Cheaper to maintain, great track weapon (yet still a solid daily driver), and parts are a shit load cheaper.

My vote would be to keep the 318iS and buy an E36M3. That's a solid stable in my opinion.
