How does it drive? You shouldn't take Off the water pump and other stuff until you for sure know where it's coming from. Take the valve cover off and check those rockers.

Oh yes. Forgot to mention that 20 minutes after I took off the valve cover only to find that all rockers are in tact, and that all the nuts that hold them tight were all about the same torque

have you checked the oil? maybe the plug was stripped or leaking bad and now you have no oil?

Nope I have all the oil.

No I am just saying engines dont last forever, and sure I was abusing mine, but not like a racecar! Ranger is just unlucky like me in that his engines keep blowing.

He does all the maintenance to them, its just bad luck I guess

Engines used in motorsport do not last. engines are not made to be romped on like a monkey going at it in a banana tree.

So don't compare your motor to a motor used in racing. Too bad this had to happen after you changed your starter.

Exactly. So you were romping on it like a lonely horney monkey. It has nothing to do with luck. Not to mention the motor didn't sound in the best of health a month or so ago.

You'll learn quick that "drifting" an automatic, on the street no less is just a stupid idea overall.

Yes Ranger has gone through like 7 M20s but those engines are driven a lot harder around the track FULL TIME. My suggestion would be to keep your current M20 running. Do the basics like your supposed to.

In the mean time, pick up a M20 that was running in good shape before it was pulled, do a refresh. New seals, gaskets, etc., etc. Run it. M20s can be had for anywhere from 100-800 depending on condition and mods. Do yourself a favor and accept the fact that you're not going to get a smoking deal on everything. These cars are cheap to maintain but its not cheaper than a JDM car. /novel
