Well after tthat night is just a clack at a certain rpm. Read on here of a racer who had the same problem after a track day.

Now it is a full blown knock. I am uploading videos of it when I get home.

Maybe I have been getting crazy price quotes but last time I had a BMW m20 head resurfaced it was like $200 where are you guys going to get it so cheap?

The white smoke you see is not from a blown headgasket. My DME reset and I have m50 injectors, so it was running rich because it forgot the settings. Additionally it was about 34 degrees outside.

I drove it sort of hard, I would bump shift it every other day, but I believe it is just that it has had a hard life and the gas in the oil didn't help

Turns out the original engine I had lined up is a no go... so if you have a sweet m20b25 laying around hit me up. $500 budget. Looking for low miles and good compression obviously
