What's up guys. I just moved to the PNW from Germany had to leave my e30 and e46 there but shipped my e36 to Seattle. I'll be looking for another e30 soon.

Who here has installed a Z3/E36 steering rack? This Is the second one I have done, using the E30tech spacer/hardware kit, and am learning that it isn't as straight forward as claimed.

Yea - it's not a fun job with bending the lines. That with a smaller wheel is worth it though. Stock e30's with the huge wheel are horrendous - the ratio is so bad, and the wheel is so huge it's hard to catch a slide.

Yea I definitely think the upgrade is worth the effort, just find it interesting how different the install actually is from the DIYs online.
Plus, out of the entire kit from E30tech I didn't need the rack spacers, and the bolts supplied are too big, requiring the linkage to be drilled out anyways.

Just got a word from a friend of mine, who I've known since I was ~2 years old, he has 3 weeks to live. Cancer spread all through his bones and lymph nodes. I never cry, but I broke down and cried like a little fucking baby today.

Fuck this. What a fucked up and cruel world we live in. Still can't believe this is happening :(
