I say cut out the middle of it, direct-drive the engine to the diff, fuse it to the rear of another e30 and hook up the "rear" car with some sort of "TURBO" button or lever or something.

It will look insane and drive insane, but you'll have 1.5 functioning cars in the end, one with some sort of big, red switch that makes it go faster.
