No I was talking more on the "you grow up and just buy what you want when you want" bs unless you're doing it for your kids than I understand.

I agree with this. Once we are of age, gifts shouldn't be a huge factor of Christmas for ones self. Spending time with family, friends and significant others is what it's all about!
