          Guys I'm about to repaint my e30. Should I keep it 218, or should I go 300?

          According to my research 218 (alpine white II) and 300 (alpine white III) are the two alpine whites I have to choose from.
          If any of you are still confused
          e30=218
          e36,e46,e90=300

            I should go check on 5-toes. I think his e30 might have fallen on his head.

                  Im fine. Waiting on freaking parts

                  My buddy is loaning me a picklefork to get the old ball joints off. My other buddy has a spring compressor for me and a torque wrench so I can get all the nuts to spec.

                  Would stainless steel locking nuts from Fastenal suffice for the upper strut mounts?

                    Any locking nut should be fine.

                      Yeah, the CGI is still legit.

                        That movie rocks. I love the scene where the kid is getting chased on his dirtbike by the giant cab over semi

                          That movie is the definition of badass.

                          And the dirt bike scene was the best for sure!

                            So my DD is a MkV GTI, and it's driving me nuts.

                            Problem: When i turn at low speeds, there is a loud and tactile knocking that feels like its coming from the front right suspension assembly. It's been to the dealer for regular service and for over a year i have complained of this problem, every time it's the same response "nothing". The weird part is that it comes and goes, sometimes it wont make a fuss for a month, but now it's back and worse than ever......even groaning with a slight amount of input. I know my CV's have been re-lubed recently by the dealer in an attempt to fix it, but clearly thats not the answer.

                            Any ideas?

                            Lol at the vortex comment. You just need to find the right guy. Hit up Brian Novotny on vortex. I think his screen name is novo1.8t maybe? He's one of the top rated vw techs in the nation and a great guy.

                              Grabbed some m8 locknuts and washers from fastenal for $1.52 or something (I got 8 just in case).

                              WTF my FCP ordered shipped Tuesday and wont come until the 10th. And my detailing supplies was supposed to come today and wont show up until tomorrow via Fedex. Guess Blunt's package is the only one I can rely on :)
