AHAHA Sorry but methanol has nothing to do with meth (the drug). The meth in methanol is simply a prefix for something with a 1-carbon chain, next being eth (2-carbon) propyl, butyl etc.. the correct IUPAC name for meth (drug) is N-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amine. Yes i am getting my BS in Chemistry so yes i do know what im talking about.....methanol and meth couldn't have less in common.

Josh. Somethings up. I think I may have over tightened the lugnuts on that wheel. The back of the rim is chaffing on the brake caliper carrier.

No more grinding cause it shaved off what it wanted on its own. Still gonna pull the wheels off and inspect on my lunchbreak.

Austin no worries I think Clause30 needs em.

Okay. I doubt it would do that from over tightening the lugs. Thats odd the wheel doesn't clear the caliper, and only on one side. Did you inspect the calipers from the red ix?

                    Pic for reference.

The only wheel that's chaffing. I torqued one of the lugnuts without a torque wrench and think I torqued it way too much. We'll see after my lunch break.

So that silver piece is actually part of the wheel?

What do the other 3 look like?

                        Whoa, weird.

No way you get 2-3mm difference by overtightening. Check that the ET matches on all four wheels. Then check the mounting of that caliper in relation to the others.

Will do Aaron. Thanks for the advice. The shiny part you see is where the caliper carrier has been rubbing on the wheel.

Figured it out. Had to talk to the previous previous owner of the wheels. Fresh paint goes on them this weekend. Black, silver w/ new kosei stickers, or bronze with new stickers.
