                I can do a auto - manual swap, but can't for the life of me install the wiring for the stock e30 stereo into the stock wire harness. All the diagrams are fucking shit

                          I know that I've got one 12v going into my AudioControl, I'm hoping that there's another nestled in there to charge my tablet. With GPS on it peters out at about 2-4 hours.

                            Use the cigarette lighter 12V like people do for that USB charger mod. Theres a writeup on here for it

                            And Haruko, I am sure you have Luke's post about the wiring (http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=191119), but I believe early models share a common speaker ground

                            I read on here a week ago though that people get around that by unraveling the harness further and extending the individual ground wires.

                              I am afraid that I will have to resort to the cigarette lighter. When we moved my shifter forward, the lighter never made it back so its buried somewhere in my center console's nether regions.

                                That should work out fine, probably a beefier wire than the one in the dash too
