Getting an LS1 to put a supercharger on it feels insane. Especially since I do believe that I'll be outpowering you with my stock LS3 (don't challenge me on it, I like having the title!)

Have you put your car on a dyno yet? Curious to see what it puts down at the wheels. I am currently shopping ebay for LSx drivetrains to put in my E28

Haven't done a dyno yet, a guy that I met at last year's snohomish show said he'd do it for me, I just haven't gotten around to calling him. The block (with the cats/headers that we used) should be around 470.

Aren't you running the E Rod LS3 crate setup? I thought that spec'd at like 430 crank

With cats and headers that are more restrictive than hours. The cats that spec it at that are the size of sequoias.

Yeah I'm calling slight shenanigans on those numbers. But, get it on a dyno and prove us wrong!

Bone stock LS3 camaros typically dyno in the 360s. That's 15% losses from bhp. If the claim is 470bhp, at comparable losses that is 400whp.

Then that means the LS3 gained 30-40whp on headers, without a tune. I got nothin but love here, but Shenanigans.

I'm not sure if I follow your math at all. The Camaro LS3 is essentially the EROD kit but with the cats and headers that are more restrictive. So without a doubt, we're above the Camaro in output.

I don't know what an EROD kit is but Lucky said it was about 430 at the crank, right? And you're best guess is 470bhp, so that's +40bhp which at 15% losses is 34whp gained from just headers and cats, no tune. GTI - Gym, Tanning, I'm Not Buying It.

Camaro's actual numbers don't matter - the drivetrain losses do. People are seeing 15% losses on avg. I'm ASSuming your e30 would be seeing similar losses based upon the motor/transmission in your car. Who knows about the BMW diff though - which is why you need to put it on the dyno and see what it really does.

As for gearing, I have a Hurst T56-Magnum, gears (1-6) are as follows:
                                2.97 2.10 1.46 1.00 0.74 0.50

I've got a 3.07 LSD in it as well.
