Anyone got gifts under the tree for their E30? Wouldn't put it passed some of us BMW obsessed.

Probably lots of tools. I always ask for stuff E30 related, usually don't get it.

Hoping to find a new shell to stick the S50 in before the picnic. If not, I guess I'll keep rocking the sedan. Guess I still have 6 months, anyway...

So, how many of you actually "cured" your wrinkle finish Valve Covers/Engine components in Mom's Home Oven? Did the smell stick around or fuck anything up? Do you really have to bake it?

Also, local spots to pick up the VHT product? I can't stand waiting for things to arrive via UPS.

I bought this stuff at O'Reillys.


Sprayed it in the afternoon and just let it set up in normal air. Didn't bake it and drove the car to work the next morning.

Sounds like time for new intake gaskets, rebuilt injectors and valve cover gasket! Should be $70 to do it all.. a guy here on r3v does injectors for a good deal.

I had a idle issue with my car (m50) but it turned out that I had routed a coolant line wrong and and the throttle arm was catching on it.

Intake gaskets, throttle body gasket and valve cover gasket are new. The injectors have new o-rings but are not rebuilt. I have carb cleaned the shit out of every possible area where it could leak with no help..

Leaning towards the IAC valve/TPS/MAF

TPS could be the issue, without it ECU has no clue you are idling.

Lol because if I ever sell it she'll get pissed. Not that I'm even thinking it but you never know. Besides, next step is building an engine or doing a swap. Not really in her budget lol.
