I've decided to scrap the drift car idea and build the 2002.

Throw the 2.7i into the 2002 or sell the E30 as a whole and built up an M10? I need ideas!

Drift car FTW. Keep 'em both. Just find a cheap B25 to put in your 2002.

I do too but the timing is just off! The 2002 is something that fell into my lap that I cant' turn a blind eye to. I can find another E30 to turn into a drift slut (probably not in hard to find rattle can brown.), chances are I won't get another chance to build a solid '02.

I'm moving in March and moving two cars would be much easier than three. Not to mention, i'm not sure what my new neighbors would think of the brown car. I think the 02 comes off a bit more classy. I can still have some fun in the 02. Would just be so much more practical.

Also, if I plan on EVER getting started on Turbo M20 or 24v swap for my iX (Which will ALWAYS be with me, and will ALWAYS have my full attention.) I really need to slow down on all these "extra" projects.

A fully dedicated drift/race car just isn't what I need right now. I can still track either the iX or 02 if I decide to. Just took it down a notch as far as seriousness level goes.

Just got this email from the Mount fabricator.

"The mounts are $220+shipping. They are designed for the "i" motor, so if you have an "e" motor you'll have to verify your block is not one of the early ones that may have different boss holes."

This is the first time i've ever heard of the M20 having different engine mount bolt holes between the eta and I car. I think he's referring to whether or not i'm using an engine from a 323i. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Never heard of this issue...

Negative, ghostrider. I'm sure that you can help polish it though. My dad has put 40+ hours into prettifying it and shows no signs of stopping.

I'll be in town this weekend, if you play your cards right I'll let you take it around the block or some such.
