My shifter is as loose as a $5 hooker. Does anyone have the late shifter parts, used? Bitch clip, carrier, arm, knuckle, rear support, etc. My trans does have the ears for the later shifter. Does the rear support just bolt where my existing one is?

Best to buy all of it new. Some like the delrin bushings, but the OE rubber is just fine for a daily. I would get a Z4 3.0 shifter if you're a fan of real short throws, Z3 1.9 if you don't like a real short throw.

I have a 1.9 lever, I'm going to get the delrin bushes. I just need the hardware so I can get rid of the plate shifter

Any 03/86+ (pretty sure that's the month) car will have all the shifter stuff you need (rear mount, carrier, etc) provided that your trans has the mount for the late style console, for sure.

If it doesn't have it, not a big deal. You can use the E30 M3 shifter carrier mount. Allows you to use a late shift carrier with an early trans.
