I was going to replace them both but the ones off the 86 have plugs near the bell housing , ones on the 83 have plugs on the valve cover so the wires are too short.

Next step is to test the resistance on the e30(that runs) and compare them to the e28 readings, if they're far off I'm gonna go ahead and order new ones

Anyone have a rear carpet speaker tray for non premium? Parents surprised me with the Kappa speakers I have been coveting but I have premium size holes so they wont work unless I find the non premium tray. Last thing I really need to finally finish audio in my car.

Does anyone know offhand if the early clusters are illuminated differently than the later versions? I have frankenstein cluster in my car now that I'm having some dimming issues. Euro housing, what I think is an early speedo, 7k tach. It looks like the speedo is illuminated from the sides/front while the 7k tach is illuminated from the front/sides as well as through backlit through the digits.

I'm getting sick of working on the e28, the crank sensor busted off in the bell housing and getting it out has become a nightmare. I dropped 70 on a new Bosch sensor I hope to god this fixes it.

                              I know the pain..
True Story, my slave cylinder popped out into my transmission bellhousing. Talk about getting tricky trying to fish that out. Used a coat hanger and some duck taped magnet 8)
