I'll stick with the m20 life. Still expensive euro parts, but at least I don't have to pucker up and take a huge breath when I go to pay for non M engine parts.

Suzuki Engines are a breath of fresh air compared to all BMW engines I've had. $2 belts, lots of parts that seem to crossover with domestics, etc.

Other cooling system components -roughly $1000 excluding the water pump
PnP s54 harness- $689-$1800 depending on vendor...FUCK

But I'm most excited about the Arc Asylum subframe and pan...as well as the extra 6th gear it'll have ;D

consider how expensive the water pumps are for a vanilla as fuck e90 328/330 and realize it's not too bad

$369 is pretty common for marine water pumps. granted they are cast with solid bronze bodies - I guess it is a better value if you look at it that way. lol

anybody able to recommend a good machine shop to have my 731 head cut for 885 valves? Id like them with a 3 angle valve job and deck - the works. I plan on installing the cam +rockers at home but if its a fair price to have it all done in one go then I will pay to do that. euro eta 11:1 block, 731 head combustion chamber, b25 valves/schrick cam, RHD engineering LTW flywheel + motronic chip tune. my brother is gonna have one hot m20 for under $1000.

speaking of, has anybody ever repolished the face of the rocker shafts? I am on the fence about buying new ones and, if you could just polish the face and set the clearances like normal afterwards I dont see why not.
