Slip ring and work inquiry
Hello all,
My slip ring for my 1991 e30 vert went sproing the other night. I installed a non-airbag wheel on CL for cheap as a temp fix. I just need the slip ring, and my airbag wheel is mint, so I am looking for an inexpensive fix if anyone has one in the bin. I live in West Linn, and work by PDX, so I can pick up wherever.
Second inquiry is to see if there is any interest for out of shop repair. I keep the car as a toy, and do most of the light duty repair myself. Will be doing rotors and pads next weekend, etc.
I was interested in having a PNW r3v'r do more serious work, as my free time is limited with work and family. Potential projects include guibo replacement.
I only have 3k in the car and don't want it to turn into a money pit, and am happy with most things stock. Pacific Motorsports did my post-purchase inspection and noted the guibo. They seem a good shop, but intermediate pricing between dealer and small time shop.
Any direction to a individual/small shop in the area would be appreciated. Thank you all for the sage advice in the past. R3v is a fantastic resource.
...and...spam masubi are the BEST! Before Portland, I just finished up a four year working vacation on Oahu. I still miss walking into 7eleven and grabbing the best musubi on the island. Well...maybe Da Kitchen in Maui with the fried masubi is better.
Got reply.
Thanks, good to go.
