The first 100 is fairly flat with maybe two decent hills, but the second half is a whole lot of rolling country roads. Which are harder then you'd think because by then, most people are starting to feel it. And if you go too hard the first half, it's worse..

They do a thing here called the RATPOD (Ride Around The Pioneers in One Day), where you ride...around the Pioneer mtns. At 126 miles, not near as far as that, but it's pretty high and climbs a lot. Starts and ends at 5100' in Dillon MT, over a pass at 6800, another at 8000, and it's often windy out in the valley. It's a spectacular place to see though.
Don't think I could do all that currently! It raises money for Camp Mak-A-Dream for kids with cancer.

Yes and no.
Here's the elevation:
Speed superimposed over elevation:
So you can see the effects of time/distance vs elevation and speed.
Mind you, we had packed like we were doing two day, so I had both saddle bags with camping hammock and lightweight blanket, and toiletries, and change of underwear. So probably a little heavier than we needed to be.
Our bikes at one of the rest stops (not far from E30 picnic site):

Anyone have a vert shell they're parting out? I need a clean passenger quarter panel....
I just discovered that a vert panel and coupé panel are much different than they look.-Christian

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

I cut out the trashed panel on my vert and set the coupe panel on there and the trunk wouldn't line up at all.. I could have pie cut it and made that part line up but the crease in the side is much different-Christian

Half asleep when I wrote this the first time...
All cabrio quarters are virtually the same. The only differences are the 92/93 cars with big tails and the late model rear valance. Everything else is the same.Last edited by e30austin; 07-23-2017, 03:12 PM.'72 2002 | '88 M5 | '89 330is | '89 M3 | '95 911 | '02 M5 | '04 RR HSE
