Sparkles, you were following too close. It's shown in your front end.

Just shut your mouth. There's something to be said for someone giving ample distance and having a truck merge and then stop. Not only that but you live in CA. I'm not sure your experiences in the rain but trust me, it's not quite so cut and dry simple.

So sorry to hear this!! I hope your problems get solved! And it doesnt have to be her fault at all, i once rear ended a ford windstar when it jumped out in my lane and slammed the brakes on yellow light. I had no chance and slid right into it, luckily for me the damage was not bad and i was on my integra so who gives a shit about anyway.

I laugh at your extent of knowledge. Yes I do know it all. Over 5+ years in insurance, a degree at UW, and I hold insurance designation. Do you?

If you're going to mention stated value, why don't you look that up with your google internet search.

Do you even know what stated value versus agreed value is?

That right there just shows your lack of experience... also knowledge.

Only benefit of "classic car" coverage is amount but yet your "state value" doesn't cover actual cost or fair market value. As like the word stated. Stated doesn't mean anything like market value or fragile. It can mean anything. Agreed on the other hand means that both parties "AGREED" on the value to be covered because when you state a value, your carrier don't have to object.

Actually, no I won't shut my mouth. You're right I live in CA, apparently you seem to think that it doesn't rain here. I've driven in the rain probably more than most people. It's that cut and dry simple..if conditions suck then drive appropriately and be defensive. Too many people don't know how to handle the rain and you need to watch out for yourself and make the right moves to make sure you don't get fucked. Which is exactly what is going to happen to her since she rear ended someone.

I really don't see the connection by calling out someone's inability to drive appropriately and being a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles though. Grow up idiot.

Sorry, did I offend you with that "term". Here... stop being such a homo.

You don't understand the Seattle rain unless you've driven in it. Again, it's worse than black ice up here after 2 weeks of no rain followed by huge down pours. And again, having someone MERGE IN FUCKING FRONT OF YOU and then hit their brakes when you're in a 20 year old shit box with terrible fucking brakes will cause you to break traction. You're telling me you drive at 100% stopping distance from 60 all the time from everyone around you in the rain? Kudo's to fucking you, asshole. Get a fucking blow job or something and stop feeling all high and mighty, queeny. Christ. You're like that kid in school that loves to point out what everyone did wrong for absolutely no reason than to feel better about yourself.

                    Ive driven Seattle rain.

I've also driven Socal rain after a dry spell. You have to remember, not raining for 2 weeks is nothing compared to the several inches in a week after about 6 months of dry. Not to mention, socal doesn't have the infrastructure to handle that rain, so you get pooling and puddles even on freeways.

                    Socal is worse.

nope, no offense taken. I just see a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles behind a keyboard that seems to have no idea that we see huge downpours too. I haven't driven in your rain but have you driven in mine? I drive the same 20 year old shit boxes. Do you see me posting threads saying that I rear ended someone in the rain? no. I'm not always able to drive with a shit ton of stopping distance in front of me but I try to.

What the fuck is you're problem anyway asshole. What did I say that caused you to get all up in arms? Did I piss you off because I blamed the girl? If so go ahead and be her knight in shining armor. Let me know how that goes for you dicknose.

take her out of the equation and just think of this as an accident that is on paper because that's all that the insurance company will see. Let point out the main factors:

                          1. Vehicle 1 driving
                          2. Vehicle 2 driving
                          3. Vehicle two attempts to merge as traffic slows
                          4. Vehicle 1 had too little following distance between itself and vehicle 2
                          5. Vehicle 1 made contact with vehicle 2 in the rear of vehicle

That's all the insurance is going to look at. No matter what this girl says or the other driver says. All the other driver has to say is they were trying to merge and the traffic slowed. Once the insurance hears that the person in the truck was trying to merge, case is closed. Bottom line is that she hit the other vehicle in the rear. Not only do the stories say it's her fault, so does the vehicle damage. It sucks but its the truth.

And Stephen is 100% correct. Our roads down here are not set up for the torrential downpours we get down here after months and months of no rain.

Its a shit situation to be in for sure. But you will just have to go with the flow and hope for the best.
