Ran a compression test, the numbers do suggest it needs a head gasket. Didn't see any pooled coolant or oil in the cylinders, also didn't see any metal shavings or shiny pieces, found papers for a head gasket set and head bolts from two years ago.

My theory: Mr pre previous owner blew the head gasket, goes "well i can fix it" buys all the parts, does it himself, and i bet you he didnt shave the head, he cut corners and said ill just clean it off and throw it on (gasket set was a cheap one from an auto parts store too so that could also be it) installed it all, got it all done and boom still no difference, sells car for dirt cheap to previous owner, who lets it sit for some years, i come along two years later and buy it.

Also, managed to fix almost all the electronics that were not previously working just by putting the fuses back in the correct places, the door chime even works.

while cleaning the interior out i managed to get into the glove box (missing handle so i had to push the little lever in) crossed fingers for drug money and a G17 opened and found some records, a lot of matchbooks and a couple razor blades.... tape, other misc stuff.

Still have not made a decision yet.
