Of course it's a bummer that no one is buying... but at the end of the day it's Cheuk's car and it's Cheuk's decision. There are plenty of armchair e30 restorers who want it to be saved but won't put their money where their mouths are.

The only reason I am in favor of selling as whole, if he can get a decent amount on eBay - parting is a PITA at times!

I'd rather take the lump sum in one fail swoop than be stuck with a rusty hulk in the driveway for months on end.. (Not that I know anything about that!)

Ha, know what you mean. I only traded for the rusty bronzit, because it saved me some money with the parts I needed for the other car (manual swap/hood/fender.)

It was a rusty bucket that deserved to die, and now, all of its "good" bits are living on in probably 20 other cars out there..

Once I made back what I had in to it, I have counted it as wash. Though, I won't do it again. My time is worth $xx.xx an hour (same as my job) and figuring the time it takes to "carefully" remove the parts - selling anything less than $50 is a waste of my time. Hence why, the next car project will only be sold whole.
