Was building a track e30 and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a company that sells sunroof deletes.

Jesus! 250 bucks for that? how about dropping the zero off the back end and I bet they will still double their money. I would just make a mold of my own panel and fabricate my own.sigpic

You still have to cut away the sunroof cassette and supports, which weigh a lot,
and really suck to remove. Cut, grind, pull, get shit in your eyes, but don't heat
or punch through or dent the roof itself. Yes, it's welded AND bonded to the roof.
Then, with all that gone, welding the stock metal roof back in is only an average pain in the
ass, moderately, and a bit of seam sealer, and done.
I recall the stock metal panel weighs something like 8 lbs. So I guess in racecar units,
the 3 lb panel might be worth it. In street car units, not at all.
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

^Exactly why I bought a mismatched but rust free panel instead of trying to do a sunroof delete on my car. Even taking the headliner down is more of a can of worms than I want to get into.

$225 seems alot, but if its contoured like the photo suggests and it matches the roof curvature it is not the easiest thing to make. If its made well it might look pretty decent on a street car.
For a track car though, i reckon see if i you can cut the roof off a non sunroof car and employ the use of a pop rivet gun.
